I have always loved art and creation. If you know me, or have seen my other work, you may have already gathered the connection. My spirit has always been one of an artist. But somewhere along the way, that connection dimmed. This year, the spark ignited again, in a big way. The spirit of Jen — "blessed spirit" — reconnected within me. I was inspired to create again, not from a place of sadness, or a need to draw, write, or paint to heal something within, but from a true place of joy and peace. A feeling I wanted to share, a slow, whimsical beauty with the world. Not to hide my art away, like I did for so many years. But to let it be seen — in the moment of its creation, and for what was moving through me in that moment. Jen & Lei Studios is a brave step toward that. I hope that when you find us, you find joy, whimsy, and perhaps a moment of peace, or a pause.

Lei is my daughter — and her connection to art is its own kind of artist spirit. Hers is the spirit of a teen who creates simply because it inspires her in the moment. Not for a brand, not for sales — but for the pure joy of making something, for the challenge of learning something new, and for the quiet satisfaction of seeing it through to the end.
